I’ve curated a list of all the cutest rabbit craft kits and supplies because it’s only the Year of the Rabbit every twelve years.

Everyone who knows me knows that I’m nuts about bunnies! I was never a bunny person until I got a pet bunny of my own six years ago. My lionhead Albus started a trend, and now we have Albus, Jazzy, and James. But litter boxes and lots of hay weren’t the only things that came into the house. Now that I’m an official “bunny person,” people love to buy me bunny gifts (often that person is me) and I love to receive them! Check out a quick tour of the bunny decor in my living room on Instagram.

And… since this is a DIY blog, I know you all want something you can make yourself, so here are my top 10 Bunny craft kits and supplies to help you celebrate the Year of the Rabbit!

Read below for descriptions and prices on these bunny craft kits and supplies.
  1. Romeo the Rabbit Needle Felting Kit: This one is soo adorable. Available for the Woolery in Frankfort, Kentucky, for $38.99.
  2. Prof. Hare Felt Bunny Kit: This is a kit for how to make a felt sewn (not needle felted) stuffed animal. This kit is from Corinne Lapierre in the UK and this sells for $15.52 as of this writing.
  3. Amigurumi (crochet) Year of the Rabbit Stuffed Animal (pattern only pdf download). This isn’t technically a kit, it’s just the crochet pattern, so you’ll need to find your own yarn and hook elsewhere. This pattern really captures the spirit of the lunar New Year, I think. This sells for $4.83 by emicreationsbychloe.
  4. Soapstone Carved Bunny: This unique kit from Canadian rubbleroadstone includes a roughly formed rabbit soapstone sculpture that you’ll get the tools and knowledge to polish into your own rabbit creation. This sells for $15.67.
  5. Rabbit Cross Stitch Pattern: This is a pdf download so you’ll be reponsible for all of your own crosstitch supplies. This is sold from Box and Fox on Etsy for $1.24
  6. Bunny Embroidery Kit. Another Etsy find from Canada, with this kit you can choose what supplies you need, so if you already have a hoop, just get the kit without it! I think this is really elegant and this might be the project I choose to finally learn how to embroider! This sells for for $31.33 for the whole kit in your choice of thread color.
  7. DIY Rabbit Paper Lamp: Now here’s a unique bunny find. I’m very intrigued by this. It looks fun to make and they also look super cool when lit. This comes with everything you need, including the electrical parts. This ships from Portugal and you have your choice of electrical set based on the type of electric plug you need (US, UK, Europe). This sells for $26.57.
  8. Origami Rabbit Kit: Here’s a cheap and simple one for the kids (or, hey, if you’re just tired, that’s ok!). For just $2.50 you get some origami paper, glue on eyes, and fuzz so you can make your very own Origami bunny.
  9. Rabbit Rubber Stamp: If you’re into stamping, you might already have some bunny stamps, but this is a special Year of the Rabbit one. This ranges from $7.99 to $13.99 depending on the size, and ships from California.
  10. Folk Art Bunny Mesh Stencils: I first used mesh stencils from A Maker’s Studio this holiday season and I was very impressed! I’m new to mesh stencils and was surprised at how easy it is to use them on anything – glasses, ornaments, paper, etc. These are on my wish list! They have a few other really cute bunny ones as well. This one is $14.99.

I hope you enjoyed this roundup. Let me know in the comments if you have any other picks, or if you try any of these. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with one more bunny item to consider: Christian Dior’s $38,000 Year of the Rabbit watch. Divine!

Hi, I’m Larisa, one half of the Time on our Hands team. Despite living in suburbs and military bases in my youth, I always knew I was a country girl at heart. When I married my husband, Jon, we moved back to his home state of Maine where we’ve built a happy home in the woods and raised many fur babies including our 18.5 year old black cat, Gerry, and our three house bunnies, Albus, Jazzy, and James. My home is my haven and I love to work on projects that make it cozy and comfortable. There’s nothing I love more than a weekend of crafting, decorating, organizing, or just making something new! My favorite topics to write about are candles, crafts, and home décor. When I’m not making, blogging, or YouTubing, I work as a content strategist at a professional services firm.
